Objectives
Development and evaluation of methods and applications of Instant Ambulatory Monitoring and Feedback of Human Movement for rehabilitation and physical therapy, ergonomics, and sports. ‘Instant’ here signifies that applications are directly applicable at large scale without prior specific technical knowledge and results are available directly after the assessment (or in real time). This will be achieved by development of ‘click on and play’ intelligent wireless sensor nodes and by full integration of the newest algorithms of ambulatory motion tracking with functional biomechanical models through multiple layers of ‘data fusion’.
